What is the Formelaustria Race Academy?
The Formelaustria Race Academy, co-founded by F1 sports consultants HM Sports and Renauer Motorsport, is a two-year programme supporting karting talents and top SimRacers in their transition to becoming thoroughbred Formula 4 drivers.
Moreover, it helps current F4 drivers in improving their skills on and off track.
1992 F1 world championship runner-up, Riccardo Patrese, former F1 team boss at McLaren and Williams, Jost Capito, and Red Bull’s first F1 rookie driver, Tonio Liuzzi, support the programme with their expertise as ambassadors.
More F1 know-how is contributed by former FIA F1 press spokesperson Alexandra Schieren and ex Sky F1 presenter Maren Braun, who run our media training.
The Formelaustria Race Academy also offers a post-F4 career ladder in Formula 3, IndyLights, LMP3, GT or TCR racing.
The academy is based in Vienna, while the race team, Renauer Motorsport, is hailing from Neunkirchen, about a one-hour-drive south of Austria’s capital.
